Launching Promised the Moon

I am excited to begin working on Promised the Moon a project supported by an ACT Heritage grant. There will be an exhibition and website that I am curating to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing.

The exhibition will be held at the ANU School of Art & Design from 26 June – 26 July, 2019.

Exhibiting artists will be asked to reflect on and respond to the historic period of the lunar landings, their motivations, influences and repercussions, and the unique role that the Canberra region played. In this way, they will be asked to contemplate the role the past plays in constructing the future with particular attention to local heritage.

The website will invite Canberrans to share their ‘moon stories’.
